Miss Maureen  Director/VPK Teacher

I was born in upstate New York, but moved to Bradenton when I was 7 years old.
I started teaching early childhood in 1984 as a substitute teacher and immediately fell in love with the kids!  As time went by I realized that furthering my education was essential to help the students achieve their own goals.  I currently hold a Staff credential as well as my Directors credential with V.P.K. endorsement.
The greatest lesson I have learned through the years is every day is a new day to discover the wonders of the world through the eyes of a child.

Miss Nadean
Three's Teacher

Hello, my name is Mrs. Nadean, I am from New Hampshire.  I am a Christian and love outdoor activities such as horses, fishing, and camping.  I am also creative and enjoy arts and crafts, reading, music and puzzles! Patience is one of my characteristics that helps when working with kids and I am very comforting.  I help everyone I can even the homeless.  I love sports and played softball for 6 years when I was younger.  I currently hold my 45 hours and will be pursuing my CDA this year!  I am very honored to be a part of Our Kids West!

Miss Monyay "Yayy"
Two's Teacher

I'm Monyay Randall, but please, feel free to call me Ms. Yayy!  I'm absolutely delighted to be here and can't wait to connect with all of you.  My teaching journey officially began in 2023 at Manatee Technical College, and I've been loving every minute of these past three years.
Funnily enough, when I was younger, I always pictured myself either working with older folks or with kids.  But life has a funny way of showing you your true calling!  After spending years helping to look after three of my four younger siblings, it became pretty clear that working with "the babies" was going to be a natural fit for me.  All those years of sibling adventures definitely prepared me for the classroom!
I've had the wonderful experience of working with both two and three year olds.  I actually started with the energetic two's, then spent some time with the curious three's, and now I'm back enjoying the two's again.  Honestly there's just something incredibly special and endlessly fascinating about these early years!
When I'm not in the classroom, you'll often find me on the sidelines, enthusiastically cheering for my brother at a football game.  Otherwise, I'm usually soaking up quality time with my fantastic friends and family.
If you were to ask for a little snapshot of who I am, I'd tell you I'm someone who always tries to find the bright side (hello, optimism!), bounces back from challenges (that's my resilient spirit!), and approaches new things with a can-do attitude (definitely confident!).
I'm genuinely so thrilled to embark on this new chapter with all of you and truly look forward to getting to know everyone.  Here's to an amazing journey ahead!

Miss Sarai
Young Ones Teacher

My name is Sarai.  I was born in Virginia, but moved to Florida when I was 3.  My favorite color is pink.  I believe that I belong in childcare because I enjoy working with kids.  My students brighten up my day every single morning when I walk into my classroom.  I've always wanted to become a teacher, and now that I'm here I love it so much!  My goal is to be the best teacher I can be to each student I come across.  I want kids to feel comfortable and loved here at Our Kids West!

Miss Yaneth
Asst. Director/Infant Teacher

My name is Yaneth Granadillo, I am Venezuelan and I arrived to this country almost 8 years ago, together with my husband, my daughter Luisiana and my son Luis Alejandro. I have 2 college degrees that were achieved in my country, one in Administration and the other one Public Health. I have other skills such as painting, decorating and baking that I practice in my spare time. I came to the United States in 2018 and in 2021 God allowed my son to make me a grandmother of a beautiful girl named Diana. Since my arrival in this country my interest was to do my 45 hours to be able to work in the child care area.  In my first job in child care I worked for 3 years where I worked from caring for infants to being a teacher in all daycare classrooms which allowed me to be able to function in the care of children of all ages.  I have completed the second step in my life at an educational level and completed my CDA.  I have recently completed my next goal of achieving the Director certificate. To me, this represents pride and responsibility.  To be part of the group of people and help start the educational development of children, specifically in an environment where they are just starting to socialize with other children that are not part of their actual family.  New experiences without their parents being present and positive experiences, will help prepare them for the next chapter in life.

Miss Nicole
Substitute Teacher

Hi, I am Ms. Nicole.  I will be working with your sweet babies on a part time basis.  I recently retired from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office after 25 years of service.  I was a Sergeant for 16 of those years.  I have longed to be able to have a flexible schedule as many of us do, to be with my children.  I love taking my 7 year old Natalee to school and picking her up daily.  My eldest daughter, MacKenzie is a full-time student at USF and also works at the Bradenton Urgent Care.  I enjoy having lunch last minute with her.  I have taught children since I was 22 years old at the churches I attend and continue to volunteer to work with them there.  I fell in love from day 1 working at Our Kids West to help out and have decided to be a permanent substitute.  When I do work, it has been often in the kitchen.  I love to cook and think the kiddos like when I do too!  I love to travel and recently adopted our pup Dixie.  Your children's smiles are what have made me make the decision to teach . . . (and when the retired boredom sets in, gives me something to do!)
